The Publication Process

There are many different ways of publishing a piece of writing.

When you publish something, the article or document in question is leaving your business and is being sent to someone else, maybe a client, or maybe it's entering the public domain via social media. This means that other people will be able to read it, both intended and unintended, and they will make a judgement about what they have read.

If you are using an external printer, make sure you have factored in sufficient time for your document to be set up, proofread and printed (don't forget, printers are not proofreaders).

Digital publication is more scary. Once you've pressed the 'send' button, the document has gone, possible errors and all, and you've lost control of it. It's in the ether and will be open to all sorts of scrutiny and comment, some welcome and some not.
